Kirsty Stafford is leaving Crewe Alexandra after giving more than a decade of service to the Club. The full-back joined the Alex's youth system in 2013 and went on to make 193 appearances.

Stafford will say her farewells after today's FA Cup Third Qualifying Round clash with Droitwich Spa at Crewe Alexandra in the Community, Shavington at 2pm.

Achievement and Milestones

During her time at the Club, Stafford played a pivotal role in multiple county cup and league successes. Earlier this year she was presented with the Outstanding Achievement Award.

Stafford made her first team debut in 2015 and helped secure a league and county cup double in her first season. She went on to collect a further two county cup winners' medals as Crewe completed three county cups in three consecutive seasons.

Return to the Club

Stafford departed in 2018 to pursue a new challenge, but her connection with Crewe was never broken. Just 18 months later, she returned home and continued to bring the same work ethic, commitment and desire right up to her final game.

Head Coach Matt Fisher said: "Kirsty's story runs through the very fabric of the women's football programme at Crewe Alexandra. She truly is a club legend. From a young player coming through the ranks to an experienced senior figure and one of the most recognisable faces of Crewe Alexandra Women, she helped to shape the history of the team. There have been trophies, individual accolades, unforgettable victories and difficult moments along the way, but perhaps more importantly, she has shown unwavering commitment to the Club."

Fisher added: "We'd all like to thank Kirsty for her outstanding service, commitment and dedication, and wish her every success for the next chapter of her footballing journey."
