Crewe Alexandra have secured defender Lewis Billington on a new three-year contract that keeps him at the club until summer 2029. The 22-year-old from Sandbach has delivered an impressive 2025/26 campaign under manager Lee Bell, making 50 appearances during the season.

Billington finished as runner-up in the Player of the Season vote and was named PFA Community Player of the Year following his standout performances.
The defender has been with Crewe Alexandra since age six, meaning his new deal extends his service at his boyhood club to nearly two decades. He has now made 115 total appearances for the Railwaymen, scoring once during his time with the club.
