Shannon Weston, a defender for Crewe Alexandra Women, has undergone successful surgery following a serious ACL injury sustained during pre-season training.
The surgery marks the start of a rehabilitation period for the player. Head Coach Matt Fisher confirmed that no timeframe has been set for Weston's return to action, with her progress to be carefully monitored throughout recovery.
Coach's Message
Fisher praised Weston's contribution to the squad. "Shannon was an integral part of our squad last season, and her contribution was felt on and off the pitch," he said. "We all wish Shannon the very best. We will continue to support her throughout her rehabilitation and look forward to seeing her back when she is ready."
